A Journey through Southern Spain Part 1

Hola from Spain! I'm Chris, a golf enthusiast from Houston, Texas, and I recently embarked on an adventure to explore the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes of Southern Spain. Join me as I recount my experiences in Marbella and Granada, where every corner reveals a new facet of this captivating region.

Upon landing in Spain, I found myself enchanted by the charm of Marbella, a picturesque coastal town brimming with history and allure. My stay at the luxurious El Fuerte Hotel provided a perfect introduction to Spanish hospitality, with its elegant accommodations and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by Ismael, who kindly took care of my luggage and ensured my car was parked securely. The reception staff made me feel welcomed and attended to, setting the stage for a remarkable stay.

Throughout my time at the hotel, the service was impeccable. Maria, who meticulously tended to my room, ensured it was always in pristine condition. Her attention to detail was truly commendable, and I felt like I was returning to a haven of comfort and elegance after each day of exploration.

Let me talk about the breakfast, which was undeniably impressive. Offering a diverse array of delectable options, it was a daily highlight for me. From indulging in churros and jamon iberico to savoring the freshness of the fruit selection, every bite was bursting with flavor. I especially recommend trying the fruit salad – it was a refreshing start to my mornings.

However, I must admit that the poolside service fell short of expectations. It was often slow, and there were instances where our orders were forgotten. On a brighter note, the Mojito, tailored to my preference without sprite and sugar, was exceptionally crafted and truly hit the spot.

One evening, I dined at Le Marche, and it was an experience to remember. The food was divine, with each dish surpassing my expectations in taste and presentation. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal.

What truly stood out to me was the genuine care and effort the staff put into making my stay memorable. From offering recommendations for activities to ensuring my comfort at every turn, they went above and beyond to cater to my needs.
